About Fort ST. John BC and area. THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITY!
I would like to share some of my knowledge of the area as I have lived in Fort St. John and area all my life.
Fort St. John is rapidly growing and changing. The recent bustling Oil and gas business has commercial properties popping up everywhere. Recently built in Fort St. John is one of the biggest OSB plants in Canada, creating substantial employment opportunities. A casino is under construction, a mall, and hotels are scheduled to be built, there are many new businesses and industrial properties.
The Oil and Gas industry creates a great deal of employment and there are many related businesses as well creating employment.

Fort St. John has new residential housing going up as well. Wispering Winds Subdivision, West Ridge Subdivision, Panarama Ridge are a few of the new subdivisions.
College Heights, Kearney Subdivision NE, Anneofield SE & Mathews Park SE are also popular family areas.
For recreational close to town try Charlie Lake! RV sites, boat launch and golfing! Water skiing, wake boarding, boating in the summer and sledding and ice fishing in the winter! Residential properties are nestled around the lake.
 For nature hikes try the Beaton River Hills. East or North of Fort St. John there are great places to hike, swim and raft in the Beaton or Peace Rivers; just Park your RV and camp.
Go skiing at Worsley or Powder King! Super conditions for boarding or skiing.
Farming: Pine View, North Pine, Montney, Rose Prairie, Cecil Lake, Baldonnel, Prespatou and Buick are all farming communities. Beautiful country growing every thing from wheat, barley, canola, fescue and other grains to mixed farming and cattle ranches.
